I was fortunate to find this flag pole during my research. The design and quality, ease of installation and sturdiness are simply amazing. There was no need for digging into the ground nor for a concrete foundation - just drove sturdy steel tube with a spiked lower end that came with the pole into the ground. For added stability and security (probably not needed), I clamped the mid-section of the 12-foot flag pole to an old unused lamp post that was still in place. The flag itself is very colorful and I am looking forward to seeing it wave for a long time. In retrospect, I could have ordered the 16 footer but I am very happy with my purchase.I did not want to fool around with cement like permanent poles require. This was a very neat alternative and the flag is holding up very well. The flag itself does not tangle, so overall this design is pretty impressiveI love this pole knowing that all you do is just hit it into the ground. NO Cement Needed at all. Very Sturdy!It's just perfect! Literally took me a minute to hammer in the base and another minute to click the pole together. Love this item just wish there was a way to order an extra base so I can move the flag pole from my front yard to the back without having to pull the base back out and hammer it back in. But that has nothing to do with the quality of this item. ??Since moving to our new home 2 years ago, my husband said he wanted a flag. I surprised him with this one just before the 4th of July. We both LOVE it. Sturdy, easy to install, easy to take down in stormy weather. It's just perfect.
