I was fortunate to find this flag pole during my research. The design and quality, ease of installation and sturdiness are simply amazing. There was no need for digging into the ground nor for a concrete foundation - just drove sturdy steel tube with a spiked lower end that came with the pole into the ground. For added stability and security (probably not needed), I clamped the mid-section of the 12-foot flag pole to an old unused lamp post that was still in place. The flag itself is very colorful and I am looking forward to seeing it wave for a long time. In retrospect, I could have ordered the 16 footer but I am very happy with my purchase.
