Excellent for sensitive skin or women with allergic reactions to chemicals. No chlorine used in manufacture or chemicals inside pad---100% cotton and very soft. I had developed an allergic reaction to other pads on the market and had tried every brand in my local grocery stores before going online and ordering these hypoallergenic pads from amazon.com. Adhesive strips seem sufficient to hold in place. Post menopause these pads protect clothing from leakage problems until you can get to bathroom. NOTE: this pad does not hold same amount of fluid as pads with chemicals that become gel inside when wet.
